There are many variations used throughout the song, all are built around this  basic
pattern. The chords are picked not strummed, with the thumb catching the Low E and A
strings and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd fingers plucking the D,G and B strings. Also, it's 
important to be percussive, so kind of slap (^) the strings when you return your hand to 
them so
