C F G C [Verse 1]C I decided to improve my social stationF I joined a fraternal organizationG Tucked in my shirt, signed on the lineG Right away they set about to improve my mindG The car I drove, the books I read,G the food I ate, the booze I drank,G the girls I took out,G C F G C My breath [Verse 2]C They said "kid we don't much like the way you walkF and you're gonna have to change the way you talk"G They said "your dress is kinda sluochy and your attitude is mighty grouchy"G C F G C Said you got to learn to bubbleC F G You got to bubble with enthusiamm,G C F G C I started bubblin'[Verse 3]C F The most important thing you can't forgetG Is learning the entire Greek alphabet C f I never did really understandG how that's gonna' make me any more of a manG But I learned itG C F G C I can rip through that son-of-a-beta backwards in 5 seconds [Verse 4]C Then they hit me with some pretty bad newsF Concerning the payment of monthly duesG I never did know where that money went and I never was sure it waa real well spentC F but I paid itG I'm no trouble causer and besides, I figured that's lifeG C F G C If you want good friends, they're gonna cost ya [Verse 5]C Well it finally got to be party timeF I got a great big ole jug of wineG I went back to the house in about an hour and everybody was drnking Whiskey soursG Brandy alexanders and frozen dqauarisG C F G C Reciting the greek alphabet to one another [Verse 6]C F I could see I was gonna have to do my very bestG To get myself out of that fraternity messC F So I stood right there outside the doorG And I chugged that wine like never beforeG C F G G Walked inside and bubbled -G C F G C all over a couple of their dates [Verse 7]C So now everything is back to normal againF but there is still lots of room for improvement, friendG Of course that fraternity stuff's too much for meG Next time I'm gonna' join a sorotityG C F G C And really give em something to bubble about
